History
Belcrest was originally developed by Centex Homes in 2008. Centex was offering homes on 52 home sites starting at $225,000 and running up
to about $350,000. The community was designed to be low-maintenance – without a pool or clubhouse, and Centex sold potential residents on the community’s
location central to Duke, UNC and Research Triangle Park. Centex built about a half-dozen homes by the end of 2009.
In December 2009 KB Home took over development at the Belcrest development. The KB Home version of Belcrest has homes starting at $166,990 and going up to just under $200,000. for more information about what the builder is doing in Belcrest, use the link above.
